3 Ways You Should Use Hair Oil

Ayurvedic Ingredient essential oil

All About Oil

Hair dries out and sheds because valuable proteins are lost from day-to-day wear. The problem is that conventional hair care products have chemicals that strip your locks even further and absorb into your scalp. Natural plant essential oils, like coconut and mustard oils, do the exact opposite, revitalizing your hair with vitamins, minerals and the proteins it needs! Here are 3 ways to use hair oil to nourish your hair and scalp, leaving them healed and revitalized.

1. Instead Of Conventional Conditioner

Regular conditioners tend to be a blend of unfamiliar ingredients and artificial fragrances that end up clogging your pores and leaving behind residues that actually dry out your hair. Using natural essential oils is a much better alternative, since they are easily absorbed into the scalp and hair follicles, thoroughly moisturizing from root to tip!
How To:
To use essential oils as a deep-conditioning treatment, take several teaspoons of oil, using your judgment for your hair type, and apply it all the way from your scalp to the ends of your hair. Leave it in your hair for a few hours for lasting conditioning. You can leave even it on overnight if you want! Just make sure to put a towel on your pillow. Wash the oil out with organic shampoo.

2. Instead of Harmful Hair Sprays

You might not think about it, but just a drop of hair oil can be the perfect replacement for traditional hair styling products, which can be harmful to you and the environment. Not only do essential oils help to naturally tame those frizzy hairs or fly aways, they penetrate your hair and scalp to protect from heat damage caused by your hairdryer, straightener, or curler.
How To:
Just a few drops of essential oil before or after blow-drying is all you need. The oil will help moisturize and lubricate your hair, making it easier to comb out knots! You can also hide your split ends by putting a drop or two at the ends of your hair. Using hair oil as a styling agent not only leaves your hair looking great, but also acts as a great leave-in treatment that nourishes all day long.

3. Instead of Harsh Hair Loss Solutions

Typical hair loss solutions incorporates harsh chemicals that may be a quick fix, but end up doing more damage in the long run. Essential oils contain vitamins and nutrients that your scalp needs to lock in moisture and prevent dandruff. Other than the power of hair oil itself, the massaging motions of applying hair oil increase blood flow in the scalp, promoting hair growth.
How To:
Take a teaspoon of essential oil and massage your scalp thoroughly for ten or fifteen minutes. Afterwards, grab a shower cap and leave it on for about 5 minutes to let your scalp soak in the oils, before washing it out with organic shampoo.
